Hello and welcome to the website of the Hackney Independent Socialist Collective. We are residents working together to further progressive politics and democratic engagement in our borough. You can read the constitution here. If you want to join, complete a membership form – fees are on a sliding scale starting at £1 per month.

We are represented on Hackney Council by Councillors Fliss Premru (Clissold Ward), Claudia Turbet-Delof and Penny Wrout (Victoria Ward). They are working with residents to fight for the best services possible from the Council and other public bodies.

In next year’s council elections, we’re hoping to DOUBLE the number of Hackney Independent Socialist councillors. Claudia Turbet-Delof and Penny Wrout will be restanding for election in Victoria ward and Fliss Premru in Clissold. And we have three new candidates: Alana Heaney and Heather Mendick in Homerton and Sarah Byrne in London Fields. For the local elections in May, we are collaborating with Hackney Greens. This means that we are not standing against each other and we endorsing each other’s candidates. We’d love for you to get involved in building the independent socialist movement in our borough.
